Cast on together. Learn together. Finish together.

Sock School is BACK — and this year we're doing things differently!

Instead of a collection of separate lectures, we're spending Socktober working through one pair of socks together from cast on to finishing.

We'll be knitting a completely refreshed version of my Ghost Socks, featuring brand-new little ghost motifs created especially for this year's Socktober.

And the best part?

You won't be knitting them alone.

Over the course of Sock School, you'll knit alongside Julie Ann, Jamie Lomax of Pacific Knit Co., Denise DeSantis of Earthtones Girl, Emily from Fan Girl Fibers and an entire community of Socktober knitters.

We'll cast on together.

We'll tackle the colorwork together.

We'll work through the heel together.

We'll finish those socks together.

The NEW Ghost Socks

Your Sock School registration includes BOTH the fingering-weight and DK-weight versions of the Ghost Socks!

The pattern has been refreshed for Socktober with fun new little ghost motifs and charts.

The Ghost Socks can be knit cuff-down, during Sock School we'll be working through the cuff-down version together.

This year's Sock School isn't about sitting through lectures.

Bring your knitting because we're actually doing it together!

Each workshop takes us through the next stage of our Ghost Socks so you can follow along, ask questions and keep your project moving.

Your Socktober Schedule

September 21 — Socktober Kickoff + Color Party

We're starting with a PARTY!

Emily from Fan Girl Fibers will join us for a fun conversation about choosing color palettes and putting colors together.

Bring your yarn, bring your color questions and get ready for Socktober!

Fan Girl Fibers is also creating optional Ghost Sock yarn kits in fingering and DK weight. Links to these kits will be found in the community.

September 29 at 2 PM ET — Two-at-a-Time Socks with Julie

Let's get those socks going!

Julie will show you how to knit two socks at a time so you can work through your pair together and say goodbye to second sock syndrome.

Prefer DPNs, 9" circulars or another method?

That's completely okay!

You do NOT need to knit two at a time to participate in Sock School. Use the sock-knitting method you love.

October 6 at 2 PM ET — Colorwork with Jamie Lomax

It's time for the GHOSTS!

Jamie Lomax of Pacific Knit Co. will guide us through the colorwork portion of our socks using the new Ghost Sock charts.

We'll talk colorwork, floats, tension, reading your charts and all those little things that can make a BIG difference in your finished socks.

Best of all, you'll be able to knit right along with Jamie and ask your questions as you go.

October 20 at 2 PM ET — The Heel with Denise DeSantis

Grab your socks because we're doing this one in real time!

Denise DeSantis of Earthtones Girl will guide us through the Shadow Wrap heel step by step.

Instead of watching someone knit a heel and trying to remember everything later, you'll have your own socks in your hands and work through it alongside Denise.

October 26 at 2 PM ET — Finishing with Julie

WE MADE SOCKS!

Now let's make them look beautiful.

Julie will finish Socktober by covering:

• Grafting

• Weaving in ends

• Washing and blocking your socks

• Caring for handmade socks

• Tips for keeping your handknit socks looking beautiful

And then it's time to celebrate those finished Ghost Socks!

PLUS: Weekly Office Hours

Because sometimes the question doesn't happen during class.

It happens Tuesday night when you're staring at your knitting thinking...

We'll have a live Office Hour every Thursday throughout Sock School.

Every Sock School workshop will be recorded.

You'll have access to all of the workshop replays until one month after Sock School ends, so you have plenty of time to catch up, pause, rewind and work through the lessons at your own pace.

And we're making things even easier this year.

Is Sock School Right for Me?

Sock School is designed for knitters who already know the basics of sock knitting but want to build their skills and confidence.

You don't need to be an expert.

We'll be going through each major stage of our socks together, including the heel and finishing.

And you can use the needle method that works best for YOU.

Magic Loop? Absolutely.

DPNs? Yep.

9" circulars? Come on in.

While Julie will demonstrate two-at-a-time sock knitting during our first workshop, you do not have to knit two at a time to participate.
