FALLING LEAVES SOCK KAL 2026
It’s that time again y’all!!! Time to get ready for the 9th Annual Falling Leaves Sock KAL! I can't believe it's been 9 years!!!

Here are the details:
The KAL will run from September 15 to November 1

The goal is to knit one pair of socks (or more) using Fall colors or themed yarn in any pattern you like. Yes, this includes Halloween colors and patterns, as well as sports/football colors!

Full & shorty socks, Knit or Crochet,
SIPs (socks in progress) are all welcome

Any yarn weight

The KAL will run exclusively on Instagram. There will be no threads in the Ravelry group.

I will pick two winners randomly at the end of the KAL. Be sure to use the official hashtag and tag me in your posts to be eligible to win.

Double dipping, triple dipping, even poly dipping (participation in more than 3 knit alongs), are all permitted and encouraged! This means participating in more than one knitalong or makealong at a time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️DOUBLE BONUS⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Another addition to the KAL this year is featuring colorwork sock knitting. With the upcoming release of the book THE DOODLE SOCK KNITTING DIRECTORY (PUB DATE SEPTEMBER 22, 2026) by Jamie Lomax (owner of Pacific Knit Co.) I want to share my love of colorwork on socks. I will also be releasing tutorials to help you if your are new to colorwork knitting or sharpen your skills if you have some experience already. You can use any colorwork pattern or books (trust me I will be sharing many other books and patterns too).
So again, let's celebrate sock knitting and add some "painting" to our socks!

SHORTY SOCKS SUMMER KAL 2026
This is a very informal knitalong for the summer of 2026. My personal goal is to knit as many pairs of shorty socks as I can during this summer. I have invited the community to join me as a personal challenge for themselves.
DETAILS:
🧶 Knit as many pairs of shorty socks are you can during this summer. The last day is August 31st.
🧶You can use any pattern, yarn, technique you want
🧶You do not have to share your progress, again this is a personal challenge but if you choose to, the hashtag #shortysockssummer26 can be used
🧶I will be sharing my progress on Instagram, YouTube and my website
🧶This is not an exclusive KAL. You are free to join as many other sock KALs as you wish and there are ALOT happening this summer.
🧶There is no need to register, there are no forms to fill out, you don't have to do anything but cast on, knit socks and enjoy your stitches.
