Intro: No Fear Sock Knitting Class Online
In this episode you will find all the information you need to join my online sock class, the No Fear Sock Knitting Class. There is also detailed information about the outline for the class, bonus episodes, Sock News and the Sock Doc!!
It's time to learn to knit socks!!!

Class 1: Getting Started
In this class we cover all the basics you will need to get stared on your sock knitting journey. There were so many questions about needles, yarn and supples that I thought it best to address this first so everyone would be prepared and ready to start sock knitting in the next class.

Class 4: The Heel on Two Circular Needles
In this class we cover the long awaited, much anticipated, very feared sock heel! But things are about to change. Today I’m going to teach you how to knit a perfect, hole-free heel flap and gusset. I’m beyond excited because I’m hoping this tutorial will give you the tools to overcome the fear and frustration that holds so many knitters back. Each step in the process, heel flap, heel turn, and gusset will be covered slowly (I’m talking snail’s pace) and clearly to walk you through and get those heels knitted.

Class 5: The Heel on Magic Loop
In this class we cover the long awaited, much anticipated, very feared sock heel! But things are about to change. Today I’m going to teach you how to knit a perfect, hole-free heel flap and gusset. I’m beyond excited because I’m hoping this tutorial will give you the tools to overcome the fear and frustration that holds so many knitters back. Every step in the process, heel flap, heel turn, and gusset will be covered slowly (I’m talking snail’s pace) and clearly to walk you through and get those heels knitted.

Class 6: The Foot and The Toe
In this class we cover the foot length and making adjustments, "knitting to desired length" and what that means and toe decreases both wedge and round. I also cover other topics like, dye lots, washing and blocking socks and adjusting toe decreases for the shape of your foot.

Class 6A: The Kitchener Stitch
In this class we cover the Kitchener Stitch. There are two methods to this technique that I will go over in detail. The Kitchener stitch is basically weaving in a line of knit stitches to close the toe of a top down sock. It can also be used in other areas of knitted garments.

Class 8: Heel Flap and Gusset on Two Circular Needles
In this class we cover how to knit a simplified version of the heel flap & gusset on 2 circular needles. The method removes the process of rearranging stitches to knit the sock in "profile" and maintains the same placement of the stitches from start to finish, from cuff to toe.

Class 8: Shadow Wrap Short Row Heel
In this class we learn how to use shadow wraps in a Shadow Wrap Short Row Heel. This heel is knit with a series of twin and triple stitches to "build" each side of the short row heel. It is very easy to follow, there is very little counting and and it creates a perfectly symmetrical heel that has a deep and comfortable fit.

Class 12: Shadow Wrap Short Row Heel, Two at a Time Contrasting Color
In this class we learn how to knit the shadow wrap short row heel, two at a time in a contrasting color, breaking the main yarn and weaving in ends as we go. There are alot of "moving parts" to this so take your time, go slowly, remember to breathe and enjoy your sock knitting.

Class 13: Garter Stitch Heel Flap and Dutch/Square Heel
In this class we learn how to knit a garter stitch heel flap with a Dutch (aka. square) heel turn. This tutorial explores the beauty, comfort and durability of applying garter stitch to the heel flap and Dutch/square heel turn. Stockinette stitch options for the heel turn are also demonstrated. If you understand the basics of sock knitting and want to try something new, then you will really enjoy this class.
