To put it simply I have to many sewing machines and it’s time for a sale. I have several antiques which I’d rather cut off a foot than sell. I also have my first machine, an old Singer my aunt bought for me from Woolworth. Who remembers that store? And now I have my two loves, the Bernina 440 QE and 750 QE. But before I took the Bernina plunge I invested in a Brother Innovis 40 (used less than a year). It’s a great sewing machine but I wanted one that had a little more to offer.
That said I’m selling the Brother! And here it is!
A few months ago I was helping a friend choose a new machine and almost all of the features we discussed are a part of this beauty.
1. Speed control
2. Needle down
3. Drop in bobbin
4. 40 decorative stitches
and lots more.
I was going to do a full write up but there are only so many hours in a day. You can read all about it here on the Brother website.
It comes with 7 accessory feet, standard. But there included are a walking foot, darning/quilting foot and 1/4″ patchwork foot.
There are also about 20 extra bobbins. Rather than emptying them I would just buy new ones!
The manual has a few folds from excessive referencing. But still in great condition!
The storage area is very convenient and easily removable.
I’m also including a hard carry case.
It’s came in very hand for me for storage as well as keeping it clean and all parts and pieces in one place.
So there she is!!
Now I contacted the dealer, Hartsdale Fabrics, where I purchased the machine to double-check on pricing, etc. I paid $449 (plus tax) for the machine. Than approximately $200 for all the other accessories (including the carry case). The MSRP is $649.
I’m selling this machine for $400, not including shipping. If you or anyone you know is interested please feel free to contact me, via email (email@example.com) or you can send me a message via my Facebook page.
