…I have no idea what that means! I actually wish my hands could take a little break but there’s just way to many fun things out there to do, make, sew, knit, quilt…
Here’s my progress so far on Wild Olive’s Summer Stitch Club.
There are finally enough hexagons sewed to start laying out and getting the positioning right. Seeing it like this is so exciting. If only my poor hands could sew faster.
Every project is an opportunity to learn a new skill or practice a new technique. Here’s what this has taught me so far about joining hexis.
Whip stitch, no! I don’t like that the stitches are so visible.
Ladder Stitch, no again, and it’s totally my fault but I just couldn’t get the hexis to line up right…
I thought I had it but not quite.
As suggested by Mollie (Wild Olive), a simple running stitch works and looks best for her (and me).
So the running stitch wins.
Sewing aside for a moment. Check out the new Pin Of The Day! Blueberry Banana Pancakes. I made them for breakfast this morning and I’m totally hooked!! Give them a try, so yummy!!!
Happy first day of summer everyone!
