Ever find a simple project that just makes your day? I found one and love, love, love it!!!
We finally got around to changing the old clothes line in our back yard, just in time for the warming weather. So I can now hang my clothes outside to dry. There is something so satisfying about seeing laundry blowing in the breeze.
Only one thing was missing…a functional way to hold my clothespins. (The plastic bag from Target had to go)
Here’s my Small Shirt Bag. This bag took about 5 mins to sew and can’t be more handy and darn cute.
I used a 3T button down shirt I found at Target, cut off the bottom to square off the shirt, turned it inside out and sewed it closed. You don’t have to do anything with the sleeves. This shirt has long sleeves that I rolled up.
The clothes pins are a “because I love you” present from my best friend May. I gave her an electric teapot a year or so ago. Every time she uses it she says she thinks of me. She wanted me to have something to remind me of her.
They are such simple things we exchanged but they make us so happy.
May, I know you couldn’t be further from happy right now and I’m so sorry. But I’m here and I’m thinking of you every moment. Pins or no pins. I love you.
