Chris kept telling, don’t mention the house on the blog yet. Let’s wait until it a done deal. “Not yet, Den, I know you’re excited but not yet.” But did I listen, NO…
So here’s our soon-to-be new house after the storm that hit the Northeast this weekend.
I don’t have any words…

Any damage? Or is the tree just ever so gently sitting on top of the house? Please?
Oh, Denise. All will be well… somehow! Did the front porch roof take the brunt, I hope? As I said in my message, I’m really glad the dates *had* been pushed back so your family wasn’t living there yet when this happened and everyone is safe! That’s the most important, of course. (I hope it also means the current owners have to shoulder the costs of the tree removal and repairs, though.) I’m thinking of you and crossing my fingers that this can be resolved/repaired very speedily!
oh my dear!
sending lots of positive energy to you and hoping that there is not structural damage (or not a lot)
Don’t worry, that’s what THEIR insurance is for. The basement of our house flooded twice while we were in Escrow. We ended up with new carpet out of the deal.
Maybe you’ll get a nice new roof out of the deal on their dollar.
That is one heckuva Christmas Tree!
Sending hugs your way.
oh no oh no oh no oh no….
is it officially yours or do present owners fix it?????
can i help??????
Holy crap, Denise! That is such a drag. At least you’re not living there yet. Hope it all gets resolved quickly.
OMG!!!! Well, at least the house isn’t officially yours yet, right?! This is unfortunate, but it looks like the “seller” is the one who needs to take care of tree removal and damages (I hope). Thank goodness no one is living there right now. If only this had happened closer to Christmas – you could have donated the tree to Rockefeller Center! I’m SO sorry, sweetie!! What’s happening with the closing date now?
Hey!! Is that house in Yonkers? Please say you’re moving to Yonkers!
