So what on earth happened to the last 10 days. I was suppose to be on week 3 of my My Three Words feature, there have been no posts, no updates, nothing. Camp has come and gone and I’m no where to be found. So what have I been up to…?
Here’s my camp project.
I finished on July 22rd(only 2 days after the end of camp). Just in time for Kira to wear for her grandpa’s birthday on July 23rd.
Is my kid cute or what? Show me the runway mummy…
Pattern: Abagail Sweater
Source: Free pattern on Ravelry (link above)
Yarn: Cotton Classic, # 3424, 3 skeins. If you make the dress one or two repeats less you will only need 2 skeins. I only used a bit of the 3rd skein to make the little ties.
Needles: US #5
Modifications: I converted this pattern from a cardigan (with a garter stitch button band) to a dress.
Once I finished the yoke I worked all the rows as written up to row 4 of the lace portion. Instead of purling, I knit, joined in the round and decreased by one stitch so the lace pattern would fit. As I said in my last post it’s the gull pattern from the February Baby Sweater and if you’ve made that sweater you know how easy it is.
The other little change I made was adding “ties” as the front closure instead of a button/w flap. I picked up a stitch and crocheted (yes crocheted) two chains. Tied a bow and it was done. I thought it added more to the cuteness of it all.
I absolutely love this dress and I love Kira in it.
Now back to New Moon and continuing on Wanida.
