I had to make one!!!! And I LOVE IT!!!
My brand spanking new thread holder (the link to the pattern/tutorial is on the side bar)! Why…Because I’m tired of vacuuming up all the threads that end up on the carpet in my sewing room.
It’s the perfect size and sits quite “prettily” next to Big B.
Now I know for sure it was me but I did have a bit of trouble understanding the directions, regarding the order in which to sew the strips but I eventually got it and it was worth the extra brain cell or two.
One pinner who made this complained about how much hand stitching there was to finish it and machine stitched instead but I think the hand stitching only adds to it. I used a ladder stitch.
As you can see there is a reason I chose this label…
My favorite thing about this little cutie is how nicely it folds and fits into my sewing kit. Take your kit, sew some hexis (or whatever makes you happy), snip threads, put them in your holder, fold and go when ready. Threads stay put, empty later!
I’m very happy right now!!
