Fell off the radar for a bit but I’m still here. In light of the fact that I dropped the BLT ball last week, here’s my 2 for 1 special.
BLOG:
I have so much to catch you all up on but let’s start with some of my recent reading. I took a free motion quilting class last night at The City Quilter and oh what fun was had. The instructor, Christine Janove, who was so awesome! She told us about these two sites to use as a reference. I spent a good portion of last night riveted. Leah Day’s website is one. I’ve been using her tutorials for a while now and she’s so talented. There is much to learn from this woman, Patsy Thompson!
LOVE IT:
Any banana lovers out there. There’s one here! I can’t wait to try these. My waist line is going to hate me even more than it already does but my mouth will be my new best friend….
Cream Cheese Rippled Banana Bread…Oh yes please!!
And what goes better with banana than chocolate (I think so anyway).
Salted Nutella Tarts!! You have to check out not only this recipe but then entire website…I was wiping the drool off my laptop, and the name…Spoon Fork Bacon!! Hello!! No skimping going on over there.
TUTORIAL:
In order to get really good at anything you have to practice. Free motion quilting is one of those things and you have to practice a lot. But there are some great tutorials out there to make it just a bit easy. I’ve talked about one of these before but it’s deserves a second mention, A Few Scraps really set me free with my free motion. Hope it helps and inspires you too.
Oh Fransson! Dogwood Quilting Tutorial
A Few Scraps…The sky is the limit after a visit here.
I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up too. I just need a few more days to make it coherent…in the meantime…ENJOY!!
Have a great weekend everyone!
