For all you east coast knitters out there you know that next weekend is what we wait all year for. Well this year is no different. But due to my ongoing honeymoon with “Big B” I’ve fallen a bit behind in my preparations. So this week is completely dedicated to knitting and getting ready for the Sheep and Wool Festival In Rhinebeck. Anyone I know going? We can meet up. ok, we’ll talk about that later…
If you need a little inspiration to get the needles clicking here you go…
BLOG:
I have the pleasure of calling the author of this blog my friend. If you ever need to see an original spin on a classic knit this is the place to visit. And the pictures of her precious little girl are an added bonus.
LOVE IT:
As I’m knitting furiously away on a sweater for Kira (yes the one I started weeks ago and said I wanted to finish in a week…). I thought I’d fuel myself with some of these. I know, they look a bit sticky but totally worth the breaks to wash my hands. As always another great Pinterest find…recipe is here…Mangia!!
TUTORIAL:
If any of you knitters are feeling a bit adventurous and want a really cool, I mean cool, cast on for socks or gloves/mittens check this out. The Yarn Harlot said in one of her books that turning the heel of a sock makes her feel smart. After this cast on I was feeling a little Einstein-ish…
So what are you knitting this weekend? Or eating? or doing to make yourself happy? Whatever it is enjoy!
