Gardening, weeding, water plants, tying up heavy branches full of tomatoes in the hot sun, dirty finger nails, sore knees, aching back..there was no way I was going to love that.
But then I saw this…
and the taste….I’m hooked. What to plant next year?
Kira is a bit of a picky eater…”not sure about this mumma”

Oooo! Congrats on a productive garden! Love the look on Kira’s face – it’s like she’s saying “Waiiiit…. this is NUTTIN’ like that yummy white cream I had the other day in the bowl”. She’s too cute!
I’ve got a similar photograph of a handful of sungold tomatoes from yesterday. When I ate them they were still warm from the sun. Amazing, isn’t it? That is a very suspicious look Kira is giving the tomato. Did she end up eating it? I love them now, but hated them as a child. The texture is a bit odd.
I love that picture of Kira. It says so much!
I LOVE eating fresh tomatoes from the garden. Mix them with some feta cheese and a Balsamic reduction sauce and it’s heaven!! Don’t worry if Kira doesn’t like them just yet. Nicholas just started eating fresh tomatoes and he’ll be 14 in Sept!! All in good time…
