Before my hands are too busy finishing up Vivian to post I just wanted to get this one up to show you. Here’s my Damson. It is a thank you gift for a new and I hope to be good friend. She went above and beyond for me recently and until that point we had only met once at a holiday party where our husbands used to work together. That was years and years ago.
Thank you Jennifer…Thank you very much.
All that said…I loved this project. This shawl was sooooo darn easy and relaxing to make. And look how gorgeous it is. I can’t wait to make one for myself. I have to admit is was super hard parting with this one. Not to mention my mum and sister wanting to steal it. So that’s what, 3 more of these I have to make…with pleasure.
And I know what you’re thinking. ETG knitting blue. I asked what her favorite color was…there ya go. But in the end I love the blue. And the yarn… I would knit with this yarn in any color and love it.
Sorry there is no modeled shot. It was passed on before any could be taken. Just one more reason to get to work on another one. But I have to finish my sweater first.
Project – Damson by Ysolda
Yarn: Skinny Bugga, Sooty Dancer colorway, 1 skein (with very little to spare)
Needles: #6
Mods: none…just knit as directed.
So what’s everyone working on these days?

Oh my goodness! I love it–the color is gorgeous too. I don’t see how you manage to accomplish so much!
That is a really pretty shawl in a wonderful color. I can see myself wearing it every day in the fall. I’m trying to finish up my “Traveling Woman” but I have “Damson” on my list of things to knit. You did a great job!
Nice job on the damson! I have a black one on the needles right now too! In black sock yarn. I plan to take it back up once I finish my exams.
There’s also the aeolian shawl, some pomatomus socks, the deep v argyle and something else – but I forget LOL!
Looking at Brooklyntweed’s Juneberry as well – once I get my hands on the St. Denis issue!
Blue? It’s not really blue, more of a blue-gray. Your secret is safe with us.
I’m working on a Passiflora from TwistCollective, in exactly the color modeled. Not normal for me to pick the same color, but there it is.
Great to see you can get some knitting squeezed in between all the other fun life throws you. This piece is just beautiful.
