I’ve been knitting quite a bit lately but haven’t actually finished anything, so I thought I’d show off the knitting skills of a very dear friend. And a picture or two of my little pumpkin never hurts (ok there are 5). My friend Carolyn knit these for Kira and gave them to me back in April at my baby shower. They were the hit of party with more oohs and ahhs than one can imagine. I couldn’t wait to see them on her.
It’s a lovely, crisp, cool fall day today and I thought it’s a perfect day for knitted pants…

Could you just pinch that little butt or what? Of course that “potty flap” is the best feature.
Carolyn, you’ve out done yourself. The fit, the color, everything….PERFECTION!!!!
I don’t have much in the way of details. I’ve been trying to get her to write the pattern for these, maybe now she’ll be inspired to put down the needles and pick up the pen.

Thoughts: I guess I’ll be counting stitches and pulling out the tape measure in order to duplicate. Though there are a few great pants patterns out there. Like this one and this one and this one.
Guess what we’ll be knitting and wearing this fall and winter.

OMGosh those are cute !!! I love the buttons she chose. It looks so sophisticated with regular buttons instead of baby buttons. Very nice.

Kira is too cute in those pants! I remember you holding them up and showing everyone at your shower. Can you believe she fits into them already? She is getting so big! I need to get up there soon to hold and squeeze her….
