There are alot of different ways I thought of to mark the second anniversary of my blog (which was now 5 days ago). I could have shown off my finished objects (not that there are any these days), talked about how much the blog meant to me or perhaps talked about how much my personal life has changed. There are a multitude of directions I could go with this but I decided, instead of celebrating “myself” I would celebrate something far more important. The selflessness and love of friends.
Here are baby gifts from two very dear friends. The time, skill and love that went into each takes my breath away. Thank you for celebrating the arrival of my daughter as only a knitter, quilter, crafts-woman can.
This gorgeous blanket is from Chris. She brought it to us at the hospital. Amazing! Truly amazing.
These pictures don’t do it justice. It is so golden and buttery soft… The pattern and details can be found hereon her Ravelry page.

And this beauty was done by Caryn. In a word…WOW!!!!
Does she know me or what? The colors couldn’t be more perfect.
Look at that detail…I wish I were that talented!
Over the last few weeks, we’ve gotten many gifts from many people. All have been sweet and greatly appreciated but these two in particular hold a special place in my heart. Ladies, you know who you are. My heart is with you both and my needles are at the ready.
