IT’S A GIRL…
KIRA SOPHIA
Born Wednesday May 6, 2009 @ 8:14am

18 3/4″ long
Much to my complete surprise and delight Chris and I welcomed our daughter into the world with love, pride, joy and sense of wonder that goes beyond words. As many of you know I was so convinced that I was having a boy, but I guess someone knew better. Whenever I thought of having children in the past I couldn’t imagine having anything but a girl but when the reality of it arrived and I was actually pregnant for some reason I totally believed it was going to be a boy. I can’t explain why, the amount of movement inside me, the way I felt, the way I carried but at the end of the day it was my daughter making me glow, showing me the beauty of life, making me smile and giving me strength. From the start, this little woman has opened my eyes to a whole new way to be.
Thank you Kira.
Much more to come…but I have to go take a nap now.

Oh my goodness, look at those eyes. She’s lovely.
Oh, congratulations; she’s gorgeous! I’d say an FO, but she’s really a WIP for a while. How do you pronounce “Kira”, long or short I?
Squeee!
Woo Hoo!!! Welcome Kira! You are absolutely gorgeous; just like your mummy. (Just for the record, I expect you to call her Mum – let’s make that clear from the start. I know that your mum wanted you to call her that, but I think you already have her wrapped so far around your teeny little finger that she’ll let you call her whatever you want – just as long as it’s not Mumsy)
Congratulation guys! I am so happy for you. Your own little princess to adore.
Now, must run and find some yummy yarn and pattern I have just for this little princess. Girls are sooooo fun to knit for.
Congratulations!!
She is lovely, and she has beautiful eyes!
Oh De, she is GORGEOUS.
I want to see you both, whenever you’re ready, you say the word.
Sleep. Enjoy. Love. Be. All this you deserve, and more!
Congratulations! She is beautiful…

When you’re ready, I’d love to meet her and give the new mom a big hug!

It seems like only yesterday that my boys were that small, but now I’m getting ready for my oldest’s high school graduation. Treasure every single second, because they go by so fast!!
