With six days to go until my little sweet one arrives. I thought I better get cracking on some last minute things. I will have knitting pictures tomorrow and can’t wait to share those with you. In the mean time, check out the other thing that was an absolute must. I mean I just couldn’t imagine giving birth to this baby and not doing this first. I/we (my sister and I) made a belly cast, more like a boob and belly cast. Check this out…
My sister did this with/for me and I can’t imagine to many other people participating in such a personal and intimate thing. At one point she said, “this is so therapeutic…” and it really was. For both of us. She had her own experience to bring to the moment and I have mine. We had such an awesome time. And it was a bit spontaneous too. I said why don’t we do this over the weekend and she said how about now. The time presented itself and we went for it.
A word of warning…this is so messy but so freaking much fun. Can you see how excited she is? Can you also see how thin and gorgeous she is?
Here I am in a pair of old black sweat pants. Make sure you’re wearing something you don’t mind just throwing away after. Plaster and water every where!!
For anyone wondering it was not uncomfortable at all, even though my back looks a bit arched I was fine.
Here I am in all my pregnant glory!! God I loved the last 9 months and will so miss feeling my babe inside of me.
But it’s time, don’t you think?
My sister’s loving, gentle hands…I’m not sure which one of us enjoyed this more.
And our self portrait. I’d say we had an awesome time.
Thank you sissy.
Now I just have to decide how to decorate it. There are some ideas here but of course I have to make it “my own”.

This is special it looks so cool. You guys look so happy and cute. I can tell that you had a good day. When you figure out how you are going to decorate it let me know. ok . Love you and just enjoy these last couple of days.
That last picture says it all: you and your sister created a great memory.
What a great series of pictures! Thank you for sharing those!
You are both gorgeous! I still wish I had done this at least once with my four babies. Almost makes me want to….. no, scratch that thought. I’ll just live vicariously through you.
That’s a great day that you’ll never forget! You both look so full of joy. Thanks for sharing.
That looked like a blast! Now you can paint designs on it and use it for costume parties. heehee I am so excited for you and can’t wait to say a proper “Hi” to your wee one. This is gonna be great!
