I can’t believe that is the last time I posted. There has been so much going on (all good) both personally and knittingly (I know that’s not a word…) that I’ve been completely absorbed in all the moments. Sometimes it is all about staying in the moment.
Wow! Honestly, where does time go. I remember when we first found out we were pregnant and due in May ’09. I thought, that’s ages from now. We’ve got plenty of time. Well the time is now down to 5 weeks away. OMG!!
So to continue on the personal… Two weeks ago, we had our last ultrasound (unless something goes amiss) and watched in amazement as our baby yawned (3 times). I never thought such a simple act could so quickly bring me to my knees. How anyone can take this process lightly is beyond me. That is not a statement of judegement but one of genuine curiosity. Anyway… We also had our last class, “parenting and infant care”. It was fun and informative but the best part was watching Chris change a diaper on a doll. It was just priceless. There are no doubts in my mind that he’ll do great with the baby but with that doll… You’re the best my love.
We also decided at the last minute to drive 5 1/2 hours to Richmond, VA to surprise my best friend May for her 40th birthday. We had been discussing this for weeks and just decided to rule it out, especialy since we were going to see each other two-three weeks later for my baby shower.. Needless to say she was floored when I rang the door bell. It was awesome. And so worth the drive (with doctor’s consent of course).
Yes, that is my 8 month pregnant belly you’re looking at and that is my friend/sister May who is totally worth it.
This trip also ment alot to Chris and I since it was our last (at least for a long time) rode trip together. I don’t think we turned the radio on once. We talked, laughed and held each other’s hand in a comfortable, sweet silence. You all know I’m a sap but I see nothing wrong with actually being in love with the man I’m married to and sharing it with the world.
We also went house hunting (some serious prospects), set up the “nursery” (in our bedroom) and rearranged most of the furniture in our apartment. Can you say nesting? I’m lovin it!
Another girlfriend Chris, crocheted the little dark brown puppy, my cousin gave me the mouse…it’s all so ridiculously cute!! I’ll sicken you with more baby stuff later.
I gotta go write up another post with knitting updates. It’s good to be back.

You look radiant! Looking forward to more posts.

How fabulous you look! Glowing and happy, as it should be! Enjoy every minute of it; this will be one lucky baby to have you for a mom!
