…stands for “working on my Aran Coat in the Air Conditioning”. It’s too bloody hot to go out and camp is rapidly approaching.
Just one more repeat of the sheepfold and the body will be done.
You wouldn’t think it would be so hard but it took about 3 attempts for me to be satisfied with incorporating the increases into the sleeve patterns. There were many trips to the frog pond on this one.
But look at that, I love how it looks. The center cable was not in the original design but in the spirit of Elizabeth I’m making it my own.
The only problem is, the way it feels today makes me wonder if and when it will ever be cold enough to wear it. This girl is getting heavy…

She will get lighter when you block her! Sometimes I’m totally amazed at how much lighter weight items are after they’ve been blocked!
With the summer we’re having in Wisconsin, you can wear it to camp and it may keep you warm. Brrrr!
It looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
First, it’s gorgeous!
Second, you’re in “heatwave denial” This is a when you’re so hot you don’t believe that you live somewhere that has a winter. You do. Flash back to February 11, 2008, 15 degrees (-9 below zero windchill!) You’ll wear that gorgeous coat….and be the most stylin’ person on the frigid streets!
It’s gorgeous and you’ll be done with plenty of time to spare.
Is that the yarn you used to tie up my present? It’s so pretty. Thank you for my yarn. It was waiting her last night when I got in from TNNA. While I was there I ran into Dawn! She drove up with the ladies from her local yarn shop! We all went out to dinner where we met the ladies from the Katonah Yarn Company. And they asked us is we knew you! It’s a small, small world of yarn.
