Hi Denise, It was very inspiring to get together! I had been stuck on the plying problem, and I had sort of found the answer from that recent Spin Off article on plying (that balanced yarn is a myth, and you have to put in more twist) but I needed your spinning support to propel me forward! After you left I finished plying the 1 1/2 lb of blue Corriedale that I was struggling with. Then I did 4 oz of Sakina Needles Corriedale in "Dusty Cornflower" and I made it have long Noro-esque repeats (as recently described in a Lynn Vogel article on Knitty, which I finally located - you may remember I was thinking I saw it in Spin Off). Now I am seeing how thin I can spin my Feb. Spunky Eclectic club South African Fine.
In short, I'm on a spinning roll. Thank you for the inspiration!! Let's do it again soon!
