…of knitting. If my memory serves me the Yarn Harlot said this is the place into which many a knitter/project spends endless, countless, purgatory level time. It’s the place you find yourself when the pattern says or you decide to knit to a certain length, then you knit and knit and knit and each time you measure you’re still in the same place you where a few minutes, hours, days ago. I’m holding onto the edge of this place, this hole right now screaming at my number #0 needles to show mercy. Can I just finish these darn socks already? Please!! And for those of you wondering why I’m getting so worked up considering that I probably won’t wear these either, I say leave me alone…it’s the principle. I must finish asap so I can add them to my collection and start another pair. Do I sound just a bit insane or what?
I’m so close…
Just an aside…my hands are feeling much better. The baby sweater on #7s did the trick. Thanks for the compliments everyone. It was a great project.
Just a quick update on the Aran Coat…I swatched (again), did the layout for the sleeves and wound more yarn…pictures and details soon…

I was going to say something snarky about the rush, but then realized that I’m the one knitting a checkerboard like I’ve got a fire under me. I get the need for speed, but will still insist on checking tootsies when we get together. You’re so yarn-worthy, D! Treat yourself, wear a pair!
xoxoxo
Yes, I’m in the knitting black hole too! And it’s true – the ‘knit until piece measures…’ is always the start of it. My particular black hole is fuzz-lined with Kid Silk Haze and so is doubly irrritating. The socks are looking great though so it’ll be worth it in the end. I have one fingerless mitt made in the exact same Ranco colourway, and you may well have inspired me to knit it’s mate.
