Hi Denise,
A lot has happened since the photo.
Although a completed pair of socks is not one of them.
The socks were a little too small at 60 sts. So I ripped it out and started from 64. Also I was not loving the blotchy ribbing, and since I was starting over, I made a picot edge. And changed the slip stitch pattern a little
(Rnd 1: K3, Sl 1 around
Rnd 3: K2, Sl 1, K1 around
Rnd 5: K1, Sl 1, K2 around
Rnd 7: Sl1, K3 around
Knit the even rows)
But the most important improvement is: do a short row heel, ala Priscilla's Dream Socks (IK fall 2000, or any other short row heel), and eliminate troubling ankle blotching!
I'll bring them in and show you if they ever get done.
(Can we either do late morning spinning next Saturday, or reschedule? I have to catch the 2:23 train to the city.)
