Bring on the Claus…and we are finally ready…
I know it’s not eco-friendly but…please forgive me on this one…there is more sentiment behind a real tree for me then I have space on this blog to explain.
Here’s it is last night…the hubby and I sat back, drank tea and admired…all that is missing are the “packages, boxes and bags…”. Oh…and the roast beast.
Pretty enough to make anyone’s heart grow 3 sizes…
(yes, those are knitting books on the shelves)

Living in Wisconsin, we know a few people who are Christmas Tree Farmers. They have informed me that having a live Christmas Tree is actually VERY eco-friendly. They confirmed that it was true that for every tree cut down 2-3 are planted. These farms provide beautiful green belts to areas. So, be proud of the fact that you chose not to have a piece of plastic with tinsel in the corner.
The trees pretty, but whoa, those knitting books always make my hat go pitter patter.
Living in Pennsylvania where the tree farms abound, I concur that buying a live tree or a cut tree is the most eco-friendly. You are supporting an American farmer. And you get that lovely real fragrance!
