Ain’t they gorgeous!! I’m almost there.
I decided to do the mitten top shaping at the same time. So I stopped on the left one and I’m knitting on the right to catch up.
I’m also feeling the pressure a bit to finish these because the Christmas projects are calling me (two hats for my sister and brother-in-law). Loudly!! And if the holidays weren’t stressful enough I’m putting just a bit more on my shoulders by trying to finish up all WIPs before/by new year’s eve. I have this tradition of cleaning, organizing, finishing, tying up and putting to rest all/most of my unfinished stuff so I can enter the new year with a clean slate. This applies to all areas of my life, personal and professional. I’ve been doing this for about 12 years now and I’m not about to stop now.
I did get side tracked a bit by this…
A simple rolled rimmed hat (for me) to go with a pair of hand warmers I made years ago…actually I’m re-knitting this hat. I made a larger version of it about 2 years ago and even though I wore it, it was too big. I like my hats to fit really snug. I also wanted something super quick and fast…I had a moment of fertility frustration and needed an outlet.
Aren’t the colors amazing. It’s Mountain Colors, Bearfoot, in Red Tail Hawk…on size 1 needles (trusty 2 circs). I needed some color and comfort…sweet stockinette….

Gorgeous mittens!
The mittens look beautiful. What yarn are you using?
