My intention for this blog when it started was strictly knitting but as time progresses there is a need every now and then to digress. As I hinted a few times over the past months my husband and I are actively pursuing progeny and in the course of that quest, we it a small bump in the road. Now I believe very strongly in the philosophy of “If there is something you can do about it then don’t worry about it and if there is nothing you can do about it then don’t worry about it.” Well I’ve sort of forgotten that over the last couple of weeks. Hence the slow down here at casa de Earthtones Girl…
But you know what…I’M BACK. I can’t get caught up in my own head. It’s a waste of time and energy and there is just to damn much out there to knit and do and see and taste and love. I also don’t want to focus on that here and bore the snot out of you…many choose to use their blog as a forum for EVERYTHING PERSONAL and none. Not here. Again from time to time things will arise but I’m here to celebrate knitting and the beauty of my life.
Thanks to my family, friends and readers (my family and friends),
Love,
ETG
PS. The title of this post is a phrase I adopted from the Purple Crow…thanks hon!

I don’t know about you, but my knitting is very personal. I can’t help but have the two often intertwine. So many of our emotions are poured into our knitting. We’re stressed, we knit too tight; we’re relaxed and we loosen up.
Just enjoy it and good luck with your endeavors.
