and I mean quick…I’m feverishly trying to finish Notre Dame by tomorrow so I can block it and have it ready to wear by Saturday…but at this rate I may have to wear my Hand to Hand on Saturday and the other on Sunday..
The body up to the armhole is done…
I’ve separated for the front and back (yes, I knit in the round to the armhole) and started the neck shaping. This is not a hard sweater but the double moss stitch is slowing me down a bit…anyway…must knit on….
An aside: So far not one single picture that I’ve taken of the sweater shows the true color and how rich and gorgeous it is…I think an outdoor shot will do it…stay tuned.
So remind me, where does it say in the brochure for the festival that all attendees must wear a newly handmade sweater or you will not be permitted on the fairgrounds…this is nuts. The amount of pressure I’m putting on myself unecessarily is amazing…why do we do this to ourselves…whether it’s a sweater for Rhinebeck or the proposal for work or the homework assignment, all of which we knew about for weeks or months. We had plenty of time to prepare but nooooooooo, we wait till the last minute…
And yes, I’m still working on these socks…am I going to finish anything!!!!!

I love the hand-to-hand. I think you were working on that one at camp. I’d wear that if I was you.
You’ll get the Notre Dame done in time anyway; and probably the socks finished too.
Deadlines force me to get my butt moving in the beginning, but also help me to become realistic about what I want and don’t want to do. E.g. It’s 100 degrees outside, I guess I don’t need to finish that big aran sweater for tomorrow.
The Hand-to-Hand is gorgeous and you will get many compliments on it, should it be worn at the festival. But Notre Dame…I’m sure we’ll see a finished pic of it soon! Have fun!
Your hand-to-hand is beautiful. Great job!
