A few days before leaving for camp I cast on my first Baby Surprise Jacket and fell in love with Elizabeth Zimmerman and knitting all over again. The genius behind this pattern is why I study knitting. I actually read knitting books. You don’t see James Patterson by the side of my bed. NOoooo I have Barbara Walker, Mary Thomas and Beth Brown-Reinsel…you know, the greats….
Anyway here’s the before
Here’s the after…(sorry it’s a bit blurry, I’m hoping to get a new cam for my birthday next month.)
This is the first of many….
Yarn: Mountain Colors
Color: Yellowstone
Needles: Addi #6
Thoughts: I do have to admit that the folding was quite fun…it really did stump me. Then I passed it around just for the fun of watching others “play” with it. I loved every stitch!!!! Thank you Elizabeth.
I think I’ll hold onto this precious little item and keep it safe till someone comes along that it will fit. I wait patiently…..

Yay! Aren’t they fun? Like potato chips, you can’t make just one.
Very nice!
